Emily is the cute and nice one in the relationship. She works at the Raben Group, a consulting firm that specializes in socially progressive causes, where she serves as the Program Manager for Move to End Violence, a program of the NoVo Foundation to strengthen the U.S. movement to end violence against girls and women. She enjoys zumba and would like to be Beyonce when she grows up. Emily is from Wilmette, IL.
Grant just finished a PhD in agricultural economics at the University of Kentucky. His dissertation was on the economic impact of the El Nino/La Nina weather phenomenon. Based on his recent review of family photos, it seems that he's a real chatterbox. He is originally from Brookline, MA.
They met at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where they still live.
